European Outdoor Award Winner: C.A.M.P. Aeris

Silver Winner In The Category Climbing

The C.A.M.P. Aeris is a super-lightweight climbing helmet with In-Mold EPP construction and has been recognised with the European Outdoor Award in the climbing category. It combines state-of-the-art protective materials with a minimalist design and a thoughtful strap adjustment system meeting the new EN 12492:2025 and UIAA 106 standards.

At its core is the patented SHIELDTEXA technology (pat. pend.), which combines UHMWPE felt (known as Dyneema®) with EPS foam to optimise protection against impacts and sharp objects. The key innovation is the single-piece shell in which all inner components are directly co-moulded – eliminating connection parts, preventing detachment, and enabling a cleaner, more minimalist design.

What convinced the jury:

New SHIELDTEXA technology:
Dyneema® Inside: The combination of UHMWPE felt and EPS foam uses flexible, high-strength fibres to provide highly effective protection against penetration and sharp objects.Single-Piece

Co-Mould Shell:
All inner components are directly integrated into the shell eliminating additional fastening parts.

Symmetrical Strap Adjustment System:
The new rear adjustment system creates even tension without a dial adjuster, keeping the helmet stable and centred on the head for enhanced comfort.

Jury Statement:

We appreciated how this helmet combines advanced protection technologies with an exceptionally lightweight and minimalist construction. The helmet-carrying net instead of disposable packaging is also a nice touch.
