SIDAS T-FREE TRAIL

European Outdoor Award Winner: SIDAS T-FREE TRAIL

Silver Winner In The Category Trailrunning

The SIDAS T-FREE TRAIL is a technical running sock recognised with the European Outdoor Award in the trail running category. Developed in collaboration with world-class athlete Jonathan Albon, it is built on a unique concept: only the big toe is separated from the rest of the foot, optimising biomechanics while running.

At its core is the T-Free® technology, which gives the big toe free, independent movement and improves push-off, stability and a natural running style. Instead of separating all toes as in traditional toe socks, only the big toe is separated. This makes the sock easier to put on and provides optimal cushioning.

What convinced the jury:

T-Free®: freedom for the big toe:
The free, independent movement of the big toe noticeably improves push-off and stability on technical terrain.

Anatomical left/right construction:
In & Out technology with no cut threads inside and an anatomical fit create a second-skin feel and help reduce blistering.

Athlete-validated and race-proven:
Developed and tested with Jonathan Albon; used on the podium in 2025 at events including Ultra-Trail Australia and Western States Endurance Run.

Jury Statement:

We liked how the T-Free Trail sock translates biomechanical research into a highly functional product for trail running. By allowing the big toe to move freely, the design provides a simple yet effective way to improve stability, comfort and propulsion when it matters, especially on technical trails.
