FAQs
Any brand that plays – or will play – an active role in the European outdoor market is eligible to submit products for the European Outdoor Award.
There are three winners per category:
- Gold
- Silver
- Bronze
No additional awards are granted beyond these three distinctions.
No.
There are ten product categories that require active submission.
The remaining six special categories are selected directly by the renowned jury and do not require submission.
Each brand may submit up to six products.
No, collections cannot be submitted as a whole. However, multiple individual products from the same collection may be entered separately.
An exception applies if two products are functionally inseparable and together form the core innovation of the submission. For example, if the unique aspect of the product lies in a newly developed docking or connection mechanism between two items, such as a jacket and pants designed to work as a single functional system, these products may be submitted together as one entry.
If you are unsure whether your product qualifies for such a joint submission, please feel free to contact the MPM team at any time.
Registration for the award itself is free of charge.
A €100 handling fee per submitted product applies. This fee covers:
- Product handling
- Insurance
- Storage
- Transfers
- Administrative processing
The €100 handling fee is invoiced upon submission.
Once the jury meeting has concluded at the end of April and the winners have been officially determined, invoices for the Winner Communication Package (€5,500) will be issued.
As the production effort for the communication package is substantial, we kindly ask for prompt payment.
This video is intended for internal use only, for example during the jury meeting. It serves as an introduction to your product and should be structured like a classic elevator pitch.
The video does not need to be professionally produced. A simple selfie video recorded by a relevant representative — such as a product manager — is perfectly sufficient, as long as the sound quality is good and the presentation is in English.
The maximum length should not exceed two minutes.
Please make sure to address the following key points:
- Briefly and concisely explain why your product is unique (e.g., highlight its core USPs).
- Are there comparable products on the market? If so, what differentiates yours?
- Why does your product deserve to win an award?
- Feel free to address the jury directly in your video.
If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact the MPM. team
All participants will be informed no later than two days after the jury meeting whether they have won a European Outdoor Award or not.
The exact ranking — Gold, Silver, or Bronze — will be officially announced during the Award Ceremony at European Outdoor Week.
