Andi Spies has been working as an action and outdoor sports journalist for over 25 years. He is the founder of the content studio TEXTKOMMISSARIAT and the editor of BLUE Surf & Travel Magazine. Andi is an avid outdoor sports enthusiast and a snowboarder from the very beginning. In the summer, he swaps his splitboard for a surfboard or mountain bike. He regularly publishes his articles on the bike and snow channels of www.redbull.com, on the BLUE Magazine website, and on various brand blogs.

From 2014 to 2025, he reported on trends and developments in the sports industry as a freelance editor for ISPO.com and served as the platform’s “Editor at Large” for two years. ISPO’s online magazine was discontinued at the end of 2025. Since then, he has been a permanent member of the FOSH editorial team.
